For a tutorial on creating pop-up windows in Netscape. It does work in MSIE, though the ability to direct a URL back to the parent window is slightly different in MSIE, Netscape 2.0 and Netscape3.0 (of course :-P) Check out HotWired’s toolbar in each of the browsers and you can see an example. With all the talk about BeOS interface,I thought you might be interested in this white paper. It is an interesting read from Sun’s Javasoft Web site on designing for the new Java-enabled NC. It discusses the design principles, methodologies. It is definitely a different take on user-interface. It’s an antithesis of MAC/WIN user interface design philosophy. Hung Doan
